Volunteer
Hold the door, run the playlist, set the room. Volunteers are the first sound a guest hears at one of our gatherings, and the last hand they shake when they leave.
A 12-hour journey through sound, silence, and togetherness. One day, many venues.
A 12-hour journey exploring connection, presence, creativity, movement, and what it means to be human together.
Taking place across multiple venues in Hackney Wick, Sound & Silence brings sound journey, gong bath, talks and workshops, sober rave, singing, ecstatic dance, yoga, breathwork, cacao ceremony, live music, comedy, and more, all designed with neurodivergent awareness and grounded in science.
The festival is built as a space centred around presence, safety, participation, and community. The experiences are designed to help us slow down, reconnect, and experience a different way of being.
We believe many of us are longing for spaces that feel more human. Spaces where we can move, rest, create, listen, reflect, laugh, and connect without the pressure and overstimulation that often shape modern social life.
Sound & Silence was created as an experiment in that possibility.
The festival is donation-based in order to keep it as accessible and inclusive as possible. If you are able to contribute more, your support helps make lower-cost places available for others in the community. If money is tight, please contribute whatever feels genuinely sustainable for you. No one will be turned away due to lack of funds.
We invite you to join us for this wholesome 12-hour journey.
We are not asking for charity. We are inviting you into something we are building together. Choose the gesture that fits, and arrive however you can.

Lend a venue, sponsor a series, co-author a programme. We work with brands that take craft seriously and want to show up for a London community in real, unflashy ways.
Every donation funds a free seat. We keep at least 20% of every event accessible at no cost, and donors make that possible. Small amounts are not small. Give by bank transfer:
